The Russian anarchist periodicals are generally quite rare as very few copies survived by the end of the Civil war due to many reasons: general economic and societal breakdown, the fact that newspapers were made of poor quality paper and the production often not regular etc. This collection is an invaluable resource for studying the political, economic, and social situation in Russia during the beginning of the twentieth century. It preserves and makes universally accessible rare and unique materials previously only known to a small number of scholars.
